Gdańsk called the maritime capital of Poland, is a city with over a thousand year history. It enchants tourists with the beauty of its renaissance tenement houses and Gothic churches, with its charming, narrow medieval streets and the wealth of its museum collections. The hands of famous European architects and artists have given eternal life to the city's ages of glory. Have a walk with us to feel the atmosphere of 1000 years of history. Starting from the Monument to the Fallen Shipyard Workers of 1970 the tour leads through so called Royal Route, showing the most important sights and monuments of Gdańsk like: Uppland Gate, the Golden Gate, Torture Chamber, Grand Armory, City hall, and St. Mary's Church (the biggest brick church in the world). Our tour ends near the Neptune's Fountain and Artus Court where gala dinner will be organised. Gdańsk offers a lot of possibilities depending on your interests: Amber Tour, Gothic churches, maritime history, Teutonic Knights... these are just examples.

 

Additional information: as the tour is partly driving, walking and cruising please be wearing comfortable outdoor clothes.The tour ends at the Artus Court (address: Długi Targ 44) where dinner starts at 19:00.

Public transportation in Gdańsk

 DAS 2024 Organizers with cooperation with Gdańsk Convention Bureau will provide symposium participants with free of charge public transportation in the Tri-City area valid during the symposium days 24-27.09.2024. 

The personal ID (conference badge) will be your free ticket for traveling around Gdańsk and the surrounding area. You have to take it with you using the public transport in the city. 

The ticket (ID conference badge)  entitles you to travel on buses, trams and trolleybuses of ZTM in Gdańsk, ZKM in Gdynia and MZK Wejherowo in the area of 14 communes.
